Well we are now less than 2 weeks to departure. All weekend we've begun getting itchy feet and have decided we should have booked our flights a bit earlier and at least goine with Izzy, if not sooner. Having spent the last 9 days living out of suitcases we are starting to think that packing so soon was both a good and a bad idea. It was good because we are getting pretty close to having everything boxed up and ready to take up to my gran's, but bad because we feel like we are in a limbo position between the UK and Australia without even going anywhere!!
I've also been discussing PC equipment with work regarding the stuff they want me to do out there, and unfortunately it is going the way I was expecting and that I won't get a laptop before I leave. They are now talking about buying one for me from the Dell australia and having it sent out to our new place when I get out there. Good for me in that I won't have to mess about with international power supply adaptors, but bad for the company as I won't be able to hit an up coming deadline for the project I'm working on.
Manic week on the horizon as Chris is kiping on our living room floor while he visits customers on the south coast, Em is working late shifts all week, and I'm trying to fit in some final gym sessions and do some packing, plus finish work and hand over everything I need to at the office! Oh, and all our furniture is slowly but surely disappearing. I fear the end of the week will leave us with one pink, and one purple folding chair.

Boxes, Cases and Carrier bags
The last week has been spent packing frantically for a six month trip to Australia. I never realised that to pack a two bedroom flat would be so time consuming, but the worst thing is trying to deicide what to take with us. So far we have 3 cases plus hand luggage and we have still just over two weeks left before we go.
The reason I'm going out to Australia is that Emma has been given a job in Gosford, Australia and I am going with her. Initially I was planning on being a kept man for six months and learning to surf, but now my company have asked me to work from home whilst out there. So I am now just waiting for a new laptop and I'll be all set - fingers crossed I can get it sorted before I leave work next Thursday.
Got Em's folks coming over tomorrow to take all the bedroom furniture and then some friends over in the evening. I feel a fortnight of goodbyes coming on.
